New position
We've discovered that Kyler loves to sit up and look around. So, we sometimes sit him up on the couch and prop him up with pillows. His favorite thing to look at right now is the Christmas lights that we have around the apartment.
Creche Festival
We went to a Creche Festival with four of our friends. It was neat to see so many nativity scenes and remember the true meaning of Christmas. After we had looked at all the nativity scenes, we went to the children's room to dress up and get our picture taken. Kyler made a perfect Baby Jesus. It made me stop and think about how important little children are. I also thought that Mary must have felt a great responsibility knowing she was to raise the Son of God. We had a good evening.
Four Generations
Families are very important to us. Kyler is blessed to have his six great-grandparents still alive. This picture shows Kyler with his father Hyrum, Hyrum's father Herb, and Herb's father Joel. Four generations of love.
Blessing Outfit
It's tradition to bless babies in a special baby blessing outfit (usually white). Kyler was blessed in the same outfit that his father, Hyrum, was blessed in. This cute outfit was a gift to Hyrum from his Grandma Barbara and older siblings Anthon, Joel, and Eva. Kyler looked so cute in it. The blanket that we wrapped him in was also used by Hyrum when he was blessed. In the picture it is underneath Kyler. These articles are a huge blessing to have because they were in Hyrum's parent's home when the house burned down, but survived the fire.
Baby Blessing
We blessed Kyler on Sunday and are very grateful for the family and friends who came to support us. It was a wonderful blessing and we had a wonderful weekend. Thanks everyone for your support.
Kyler's favorite spot
Kyler's favorite spot is the changing table. If he won't be happy anywhere else, then try the changing table and chances are he will love it. One time I couldn't get him happy at all, so I put him on the changing table and he happily played for 20 minutes! We are not sure why he loves it so much but we wonder if the pad on the table is a little springy and he likes that. What ever his reason, it's his favorite place in the house.

First Limo Ride!
For Grandpa's 90th birthday we all got together and went out to eat. Uncle Craig got a limo for all of us to ride in. They even let us put the carseat in so that Kyler could join us. We had a grand time! It's always great to be with family.
Kyler with Great-Grandpa
On November 20 we celebrated Grandpa's 90th birthday! It was also Kyler's one month birthday! Great accomplishments for both of them! |

Halloween!
Kyler wanted to dress up as a leopard for Halloween. He took his costume seriously, but luckily Mommy (Tasha) survived the attack! |

Going home to sleep
Since Kyler was born late at night, we stayed that night in the hospital, and the following night as well. Tasha has been tired, but she is recovering remarkably well and quickly. We want her to relax, but she was actually walking around quite well the day after the baby was born. |
Happy Baby :.) BTW You can't see it here, but Kyler has a dimple on one cheek |
Ky looks kind of angry here, but he actually was completely calm and happy the whole time he was in the car seat. Here he is half asleep. |
Here is where Kyler "slept" the first night after returning home. I think he spent at least a little while there. |
Isn't Kyler cute?
Yep....he has lots of hair. :) |
Tasha's mom "Valerie" came to help us with the baby---her airplane landed an hour after Tasha went into labor. LOL |
Baby STuff!!!
Tasha felt major relief after her epideral ! |
Hooray! The baby is born! Tasha was in labor for about 8 hrs from the start of her contractions until the baby's birth. His name is "William Kyler." We will call him Ky for short. |
He was 7 lbs 10 ounces and 19 inches long. |

Tasha is Pregnant
Hooray for Tasha and Tasha's Tummy! It has a baby in it :) Anyhoos, Tasha is doing really well, and though being pregnant isn't the most comfortable thing, she has found some perks to having a big belly (see pics).....how convenient! |
This is with Tasha sitting straight up, the cell phone sits even better when she is slouched at all......one time she set it down and then started to look for it and couldn't find it anywhere around her until she started to get off of the couch and it slid off (smile). Hooray for Tasha and the Baby!!!! |
